Aquatic Complex

**The Vestavia Hills Aquatic Complex is not a public pool. Membership and passes are limited to Vestavia Hills residents only. Non-resident guests must be accompanied by a member with a maximum of one guest per paying member per day.**

The Vestavia Hills Aquatic Complex features a competition pool and a family-style leisure pool, both of which are closely monitored by trained lifeguards. The family-style leisure pool features a zero-step entry, interactive water features and a swirling vortex offered specifically to entertain our youngest swimmers. The competition pool is designed for intermediate to advanced swimmers and offers a 12’ diving well, four dedicated lap lanes and an open swim area. Also within the pool area are lounge chairs for tanning or relaxing in a shady areas, restrooms/locker rooms and a concessions area with a dedicated, covered dining space.

Swim Lessons

Swimming lessons teach children self-confidence, encourage physical fitness and cut the risk of drowning. We are offering a variety of swim lessons at the Vestavia Hills Aquatic Complex in June for first time swimmers to experienced swimmers who need help working on their stroke! Children must be 3 years old to enter the program.

Swim Lessons will occur on June 3-13, June 17-27, and July 8-18. The cost is $120 per 8-day session. Classes will be held Monday – Thursday, with Friday as a make-up day if there is bad weather.

Beginner Swim Lessons

This is a beginner swim class or level 1 and intro to swimming. This is for children who cannot put their faces in the water or float.

Intermediate Swim Lessons

This swim class is for children between the ages of 5-11 who know how to put their faces in the water and can float. These children can have some forward progress in the water with no help from someone or a floatation device.

Advanced Swim Lessons
This level of lessons is for an advanced swimmer who can swim across the pool but needs help refining their stroke and learning new strokes.
