The Vestavia Hills Shred & Recycle Day drop off will be in the parking lot at the Vestavia Hills Civic Center (adjacent to City Hall). Items will be collected from 8am to noon (or until capacity is reached).
Community Night Out

Community Night Out is an opportunity for first responders to network with local businesses, civic groups, churches, schools, and community volunteers in a symbolic stance to promote public safety. Bring a chair or blanket and enjoy a night of free family fun! There will be jump houses, photobooth, pumpkin patch, free food and more!
Haunt the Hills

The Vestavia Hills Chamber of Commerce is hosting “Haunt the Hills” Trick-or-Treat Night on Saturday, October 28 on the Grand Lawn at Wald Park. Festivities begin at 4pm! Bring the whole family to trick-or-treat at the sponsor booths, participate in the costume contest and finish the night with a Halloween movie!
Salute to Veterans

Mark your calendar for this family-friendly afternoon of honoring veterans from all branches of service. This annual Veterans Day celebration features food and fun, especially children’s activities, entertainment and programming – all with a patriotic theme.
Tree Lighting Festival

The tree on the front lawn of City Hall will come to life! Once the tree is lit at City Hall, all are invited to enjoy the holiday festivities in the ballroom of the new Civic Center. Take a picture with Santa and have a holiday treat! There will be music and fun for all ages!
Pickleball
Game Play: Pickleball combines the elements of tennis, badminton and table tennis. It was created for all ages and skill levels, and is played using paddles to volley a plastic ball with holes (similar to a wiffleball), on a badminton size court with a modified tennis net. All levels and ages of players are welcome. No experience necessary. Equipment is available for check out at the Rec Center. Tuesdays, 6:00-9pm; Monday- Fridays, 9am-12:00pm; and Saturdays 9am-noon seasonally.

Cost: Vestavia Hills residents are FREE with a VHCC Membership. Non-residents are $10 with a Member or sign up for quarterly league play.

The Masters Games of Alabama is a non-profit that promotes seniors’ health and engagement through activities. Their annual event is a fun way to make friends and participate.
