Vestavia Swim and Dive Association
The Vestavia Swim and Dive Association is a summer swim and dive program located in Vestavia Hills, AL. Children ages 5-18 are eligible to participate in the program if they can swim 25 yards independently. The cost for swim and dive is $225, which includes a swim cap and a t-shirt. Registration Dates: April 1 – June 30
Swim Evaluations: Friday, May 15, from 4-6pm and Saturday, May 16, from 10am-2pm at the Vestavia Aquatic Complex.
Swim Groups:
– Minnows: No swim team experience; can swim somewhat but not yet the full 25 yards.
– Guppies: New to swimming; can swim 25 yards but do not know strokes.
– Turtles: Beginner swimmers; can swim 25 yards comfortably but only know 1-2 strokes.
– Dolphins: Intermediate swimmers; can swim longer distances easily, know 3-4 strokes, and are working on technique and speed.
– Sharks: Advanced swimmers; know all strokes, can swim long distances easily, and have participated in the swim team for multiple summers.
Dates for Summer Swim & Dive: May 26 – July 31

Choose the time that best fits your schedule:
– 7:30 – 8:30am
– 8:30 – 9:30am
Practice Days: Monday – Friday mornings at the Vestavia Hills Aquatic Complex (VHAC). There will be a few Fridays without coaches due to away swim meets; you will be notified of those dates as soon as possible.
Swim Meets: Held Tuesday evenings at clubs throughout the Birmingham area. The Jefferson Shelby Swim Council (JSSC) will release the swim meet schedule closer to the start of the season.
Dive Meets: Typically scheduled for Wednesday or Thursday nights throughout the summer. The schedule will be announced before the swim season begins.
Swim Communication:
We communicate through email. If your child is registered with VSA, you should automatically receive emails from us on team sideline.
