Pickleball
- Game Play: Pickleball combines the elements of tennis, badminton and table tennis. It was created for all ages and skill levels, and is played using paddles to volley a plastic ball with holes (similar to a wiffleball), on a badminton size court with a modified tennis net. All levels and ages of players are welcome. No experience necessary. Equipment is available for check out at the Rec Center. Tuesdays, 6:00-9pm; Monday- Fridays, 9am-12:00pm; and Saturdays 9am-noon seasonally.

- Cost: Vestavia Hills residents are FREE with a VHCC Membership. Non-residents are $10 with a Member or sign up for quarterly league play.

Adult Soccer League
- Game Play: Sunday league. Season begins on August 20.10-game season plus playoffs for all teams.

- Cost: $1600 per team. All Vestavia Hills Resident team is $1500.

Adult Flag Football League
- Game Play: Thursday League with games starting at 6pm. This is a 7 on 7 non-contact league using modified N.I.R.S.A. rules. Players must be 18 years or older. 8 games plus playoffs.

- Cost: $460 per team. Your entry fee is the total cost for the league. You will not have to pay official fees at each game.

Adult Kick Ball Coed League
- Game Play: Monday League with games starting at 6:30pm. Players must be 18 years or older. Must have at least 4 female players at all times. 8 games plus playoffs. Games begin on September 25.

Youth Girls Volleyball
- Gameplay: For girls in grades 3-7. Player evaluations will be held August 6 from 3-5pm at the Rec Center. We are also in need of coaches and will host a Coaches Clinic on July 25 from 5-7pm at the Civic Center. Practices begin on August 14 and games begin on August 26.

Fall RegistrationFall 2023 Baseball Registration is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, August 1, through Sunday, August 20.
New Website ProviderOur website will transition to a new provider – SportsEngine. The transition to the new website will require you to setup a new account.
You will still register at www.vhyb.com and receive communication through the League Athletics platform until the end of the calendar year.
Program OptionsFor the Fall, VHYB will be offering:4-10 y/o rec9-10 y/o pre-formed11-12 y/o OTM
9-10 y/o pre-formed teams along with 11-12 y/o OTM teams will practice once per week. 11-14 y/o rec, middle school league, and YMBA (high school league) will be offered in Spring 2024.
Games will be played on Sunday afternoons.
CalendarThe regular season will begin on Sunday, September 10, and run through October 22, except October 8 in honor of Columbus Day.
Playoffs will be held on Saturday, October 28 and Sunday, October 29. We will do our best to avoid any conflicts with Vestavia Hills Flag Football games on Saturday, October 28.
Registration NotesRegister your child based on their age as of April 30, 2024. For example, to be eligible for the 4 y/o league, the player must have been born on or prior to April 30, 2020. If you would like for your child to play with their grade and the website does not allow you to register them for that league, complete the registration, and then email vhybscheduler@gmail.com. Please include your child’s name, grade, and the league they are registered for and the league you would like for them to participate in.
Youth Softball League
Fall 2023 Vestavia Hills Girls Softball registration is OPEN!

Cost: $115 for residents and $165 for non-residents.
The Vestavia Hills Girls Softball Association proudly offers a competitive program and learning environment for 4-12 y/o girls! We look forward to starting the season with games beginning on September 10. Most games will be played on Sunday, and teams can expect to practice one to two times per week in the pre-season and once a week during the season.

Silver Sneakers is at the Vestavia Hills Civic Center!
The Vestavia Hills Civic Center is now home to Silver Sneakers classes! Cardio and Strength, taught by Kristin Long, will be every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 11:15am! This fitness class combines a variety of exercises to help increase cardio endurance while strengthening muscle.
